Natasha 31" x 23"

This is a portrait to commemmorate Natasha's communion.  It was decided to take her in her lovely white communion dress to the beach in Torrox Costa so as to produce this stunningly dramatic backdrop.

The painting was completed on a specialist French pastel surface, and Heather's favourite soft pastels - Unison (see link page).

AlexFerguson.jpg
Sir Alex Ferguson - Pastel

A strong and candid portrait of the legendary Sir Alex, against the backdrop of Old Trafford.

This was part of a series of work (completed by Heather during the late 90's) commissioned by Manchester United F.C.  The series included portraits of current players as well as a selection of past legends such as George Best and Dennis Law.  Many pieces completed were put into Limited Edition Fine Art Trade Guild prints, which are now collectors items.

Max.jpg
Max 29" x 20"

This portrait of Maximillian Galleydown Dominoe was completed when Max was just 18 months old and considered himself a real prince, hence the satin blanket.

The painting was completed on a specially prepared sanded board using Unison pastels.  This is one of many portraits of beloved pets completed by Heather, who over the years has produced paintings of dogs, cats, pet ducks, horses, and most memorably - a famous tight-rope walking Alsation who was an RAF trained dog with very special skills.  The challenge to Heather was in capturing a true likeness of a dog walking a tight-rope.  After that painting the 'best in shows' and Cruft winners proved far less challenging!

UrsulaandtheFiestaDresscontrasted.jpg
Ursula's Fiesta Dress 31" x "3"

A very glamourous portrait of a very beautiful young lady.  Ursula was crowned 'Miss Axarquia' when this portrait was completed.  I found her particularly fascinating because of her strong 'moorish' features accompanied by her mass of wavy blonde hair - quite an unusual combination.

Completed on a specialist French pastel surface and Unsion soft pastels - the portrait portrays Ursula in a favourite Fiesta outfit - modern  - not exactly traditional flamenco style.
